A Little About My Journey…

Hi there, I’m Mischa!

Welcome to my site!

In 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a successful recovery, I left teaching and transitioned into ed-tech, having trained on Blackbaud systems.

Combining my experience and education, I write mostly about health, wellness, mental health, and lifestyle topics. I love sharing information on resilience, hope, and a balanced life in this ever-changing world.

My freelance writing practice is an audience-first approach and includes articles, blogs, and newsletters for publications and brands. Additionally, I can provide review and consultation on content plans and strategy. Reach out, and let’s talk.

Before freelancing…

I taught history to teens and summer camp to kids for several years in Washington DC. I received my Master’s in Education in Teaching from American University. I also served as a Consumer Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (Center for Mental Health Services) for a year while going to grad school.

Before Grad School…

I became a writer/producer at agencies. As a Writer/Producer, I traveled the US and Europe, interviewing 300+ experts for stories. I created 150+ video scripts for businesses and organizations. I focused on the healthcare, technology, nutrition, the environment, and business sectors.

Earlier…

I used my Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Miami and worked for the Museum of Science and YoungArts Foundation. There, I developed a passion for non-profits, the arts, sciences, and education.

Now….

I love using my education and experience to conduct research, interviews, and create concise content.

When I’m not writing…

My passion for the arts led me to help teens express their love of art and writing by creating a program called The ArtLit Project.

I want to hear how I can help you with your blog or newsletter or write articles that fit your content calendar.

Reach out and say hello here!
