A Little About My Journey…

Hi there and welcome to my site!

After a successful recovery from breast cancer, I left teaching and transitioned into ed-tech, having trained on Blackbaud systems.

I also freelance write for publications and brands. I love sharing information on resilience, hope, and a balanced life in this ever-changing world.

My freelance writing practice is an audience-first approach, encompassing articles, blogs, and newsletters. Additionally, I can provide reviews and consultations on content plans and strategies. Reach out, and let’s talk.

Before freelancing…

I taught history to teens and led summer camps for kids in Washington, DC, for several years. I received my Master’s in Education from American University. I also served as a Consumer Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a year as an intern while attending graduate school.

Before Grad School…

I worked as a writer and producer at agencies, traveling across the US and Europe to interview over 300 experts. I created more than 150 video scripts for businesses and organizations, focusing on healthcare, technology, nutrition, the environment, and business.

Previously,

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Miami. I later worked for the Museum of Science and the YoungArts Foundation, where I developed a passion for non-profits, the arts, and education.

Now….

I love using my experience and education to conduct research, interviews, and create content.

When I’m not writing…

My passion for the arts led me to co-found The ARTLit Project, a program that encourages teens to explore their creative side.
